Common questions from Quad Cities homeowners
Do I need a repair or a whole new roof?
It depends on three things: how much of the roof is affected, how old it is, and whether the decking underneath is still sound. A few damaged shingles after a storm is usually a repair. Granule loss and curling across whole slopes, or leaks showing up in more than one place, usually points to replacement. If a repair will do the job, we’ll tell you it’s a repair — quality over quantity means we’d rather do one honest repair than sell you a roof you don’t need. The free inspection is how we find out which one you’re looking at.
Can you check my roof for hail damage?
Yes, and there’s no charge for it. Hail damage is hard to judge from the ground — it shows up as bruising and granule loss on the shingle surface, which you have to be up close to see. Rich gets on the roof, looks at the shingles, flashing, and vents, and photographs what he finds so you can see it too.
What does a free inspection include?
Rich looks at shingle condition — granule loss, curling, cracking, and missing pieces — along with storm damage like hail bruising and wind creasing, the flashing around chimneys and vents, the gutters and roof edges, and any signs of water getting inside where they’re visible. He photographs what he finds. Then you get a written estimate and a plain-English explanation of your options, with no obligation. Free, No-Obligation Roof Inspection.
My roof is leaking. What should I do first?
Call or text us at 563-349-2824 and tell us what you’re seeing — where the stain is, when it appeared, and whether it gets worse in heavy rain. A leak doesn’t always start where the stain shows up, because water travels along decking and rafters before it comes through a ceiling. That’s what the inspection is for.
Can you help me understand the insurance process?
Yes. Rich Moeller spent time working as an insurance adjuster before this business, so he’s seen how claims get assessed from the other side. He’ll inspect the roof, document the damage with photographs, and explain in plain English what he found — so when you talk to your insurer, you know what’s actually up there. What we won’t do is tell you how your claim will turn out. We don’t decide that, and anyone promising you an outcome is guessing.
What areas do you serve?
We’re based in Davenport, Iowa and we work throughout the Quad Cities — Davenport and Bettendorf in Iowa, Rock Island, Moline, and East Moline in Illinois — plus surrounding Iowa and Illinois communities. Customers can call to confirm availability for their specific location.
How does pricing work?
Every project gets a free estimate, priced to the job. What it comes down to is scope — how much work is involved — plus materials and whether you’re repairing or replacing. We don’t publish prices or ranges, because a number without an inspection behind it isn’t an estimate. Call for a Free Estimate.
How do I reach you, and when?
Call or text 563-349-2824. We’re open Monday through Saturday, 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM, and closed Sunday — so you can reach a person after work. You can also email rmoeller45@gmail.com or send the details through the form on our contact page.
